Well, if we get the signing key, then we can just resign 9.2 as 11.1

If we had the signing keys adding signatures to downgrade would be the least of its uses.

Since essentially that means we could run homebrew on legit consoles aswell as other stuff like CIAs etc

I know, just saying, for all we know those might be out before an 11.0 unit shows up on shelves. Hopefully most people that want a hacked system have one by now anyway. Look at how long Nintendo left 10.3 and 10.7 up. Two gigantic windows you'd almost have to be in a coma to miss.

I dont know if this is cakes related, but just to be sure.
Im on 175 . After a while in standby (lit closed), when I open it, all I get is a blackscreen. I have to hold the power button to shut it down and restart it to get a picture again.

Oh, new3DS XL on 11.0.0-33 E

u dont know why my r4i sdhc doesnt work on my o3ds xl ( a9lh + cakes fw 11.0 ) ? pls help me :(

Do you have the "Allow all DS cartridges to boot in TWL" optional patch? And is it checked? If its not there, you have to download the .cake file for it (it's linked on page 1 in the nightly links). If you have it and it's checked, it should work. I don't have one of those to test with, unfortunately. But it should work. My Acekard 2i works. My M3DS Real does not, but that's so old it needs a launcher (which it still doesn't work with for whatever reason, oh well, not like I'm hurting for DS carts, just testing for fun).

need help, I installed ver 175 but it's boot to sysnand not to emunand

You have to select "Enable EmuNAND" in the "Select Patches" option. Nothing is on by default. Not even disabling signature checks. If it's set to boot automatically, hold L while booting it. If that fails, delete the "config.dat" in your "cakes" folder, and run it again.

it's work, thank, but I have 1 one question: do I have turn on "signature checks"?

Trying to install. However, i get the "please make sure FIRM is in firmware.bin" error when launching via mset installer. I already have the 00000050.bin file and renamed it to firmware.bin and put it in the cakes folder. Please help :(

MSET? OK. You might want to upgrade to MenuHax at least. If not A9LH. The guide for 9.2 update is here if you need it, a guide for setting up MenuHax is here, and the guide for installing A9LH is here (unfortunately, they've removed the Cakes option, but you can switch to BootCTR9 afterwards if you want to keep Cakes as your main CFW, or you can add it to Luma's chain loader as an alternate). If you need help setting A9LH up the way you want after installing it, I can send you a configuration that does what you want. That's if you decide you want to use it. It's ultimately your decision, but both MenuHax and A9LH are far more convenient than MSET.

To answer the question at hand though, do you also have the "cetk" file in the "Cakes" folder? You need to grab that too so that Cakes can decrypt the firmware file. Also, if you're familiar with a certain iso site, there's a ready-to-use Cakes 175 download in the "CFW Discussions" forum.

Cakes boots me into firmware 10.7.0-32E right now. What do i have to do, that it boots me into 11.0.0-33E? Which files need to be updated?

My SysNAND will guaranteed stay at 9.0.0 when im doing that? I'm using Menuhax and just want to be completely sure...

Okay, I've got Cakes 175 running, and I have an Acekard 2i. What do I need to do to play that on my N3DS emuNAND at latest firmware?
I have the cakes for TWL_CARTRIDGES and TWL_SIGNATURES and have enabled them, but my N3DS doesn't even detect anything in there. This card works on my DSiXL (Pippa Funnel).

Thanks!

EDIT: What's up with almost half of the time Cakes loads up with just black screen? Not that it's not working, most of the time that it ends up black, I can just press A and notice a shift in the backlight, where it loads to emuNAND homescreen shortly. So it does load up, but for some reason forgets to display anything. Sometimes it really does freeze though. I know because when I press A, nothing happens, no shift in the backlight, nothing to indicate something happening in there. When this happens, I end up having to hold the power button for something like 10 seconds just to shut it down.
