enable emu and disable signature checks then start
then choose boot cfw

Huh, another such report for 6.x, though this one isn't on 2ds. Is it 6.0.0?
Could you try this emunand.cake? https://up1.ca/#sv9vr0083ZMUptGzKKMlRA (Just drop it in the cakes/patches folder, it's called "Enable emuNAND - Testing". Disable the regular emuNAND patch).

• Autoboot now just loads firmware_patched.bin (and does no further patching, whatsoever), causing it to boot even faster

Does this firmware_patched.bin file get generated once we put the patches in place and enable auto boot or do we have to generate it somehow (sorry for all of the questions I just want to have my facts straight)

you need code.bin if you have an old 3ds and want to install the MSET exploit from the browser, if you have a new 3ds you need the CakesROP.nds and a ds mode flashcart that is compatible with the 3ds, you'll have to downgrade your MSET to an exploitable version (4.x MSET if you're on 5.x or lower and 6.x MSET if you're on 6.x or higher)

cakesrop.nds is for a DS flashcard; it goes on the DS flashcard microSD
code.bin is if you don't have a DS flashcard; it goes on the 3DS sd card.

Edit: Ninja'd! And I forgot you have an N3DS. You can't use the code.bin.
