Alright as much as I love the screen init vs no screen init duality in here, please take this somewhere else. At this point I'm seriously considering creating another thread for the new version, something I wanted to avoid.
However, seeing how there's entire pages dedicated to troubleshooting lack of si and/or instructions on installing si stage2, I guess. I'll have to make a new one with updated instructions and consider this thread outdated, which is a terrible waste of space if you ask me but w/e.
tl;dr read the guide and figure out how to install screen init on your own.
Once the repo is open I'll ask a mod to close this thread.

I'm getting an error when I run the makeanim script on my Mac.

rm: output.bin: No such file or directory

The stuff before that works fine (ask for filename, framerate, animated or not, and compressed or not).

is it still outputting the anim file? On linux it usually ignores the error and continues. Otherwise you're giving me an excuse to reboot into my osx partition

I put the stuff on my SD card, and my 3DS turns on, but is stuck at a black screen. Any ideas?
