Hacking [Release] ARK-4 CFW port for PSP.

so i checked and overclock and powersave option works per game
the problem is, after changing any option in recovery menu it erase all custom lines i have put in settings.txt.

I'll check that out and fix it.

I didn't know that there was a plugin to extend the functionality thanks! About the iso mode, yes I'm talking about the option "UMD ISO mode" since on PRO, Inferno 1 sometimes "friezed" the game since then I just used M33 which works fine, I'm happy that Inferno 2 is enough since I play a lot of old homebrew.

Which game were you having issues with on Inferno?

Also, in ARK-4's GitHub repository's README.md, it's said to copy the new ARK_01234 savedata folder and run ARK Loader from OFW to update ARK-4, so does the PS button have to be pressed to boot to OFW before running ARK Loader?

hmmm, i do not have EU version of the game, but USA version (ULUS-10389) works just fine on ARK 4.19.6 cIPL (psp 2004)

@Acid_Snake It was Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus, after some time playing, the controls would become unresponsive and then after 30 seconds or so they would start working again, changed to M33 and the issue was gone. On Inferno 2 the issue also seems to be fixed!

Extra Memory doesn't work on Vita for now, it crashes.
To update you have to rerun ARK Loader from OFW byholding home when turning on.

That's exactly what I've been doing and then I delete ARK Loader. So, there's no problem setting "Force Extra Memory" to "Always" on the PSP?

When running Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – The Amazing Allies Edition (ULES01174) on the PSP, I have an error (80010016).

Doubtful. I have a 2k with it enabled, no issues.

hmmm, im running ark loader within ark cfw and it works just fine.

also, i have a question regarding brightness. back in a days i was using plugin to be able to set 99% brightness while my psp was running on the battery. but recently i have noticed that without brightness plugin i can also do that. is this normal because by default (for example in OFW) i can not set it to full brightness on battery ?
of course i dont mind it at all one plugin less to use, im just curious

yeah there's a patch to unlock more bightness, that's also in PRO, you can still use plugins (like Custom Firmware Extender) to get even more brightness.

The european Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies PSP ISO appears on the Custom Launcher but with an odd name and the PSP freezes when hovering or passing by it. If I run it from the XMB, I have the 80010016 error code.

still no luck . kernel exploit fails everytime. I also tried that new version of fastark linked too.

HENlo does not equate to a full fledged permanent exploit- as far as i've seen it's web based and you still have to downgrade to 3.65 for the latest enso.
@Acid_Snake keep getting c1-2858-3 errors on 3.65 enso, with both debug and release versions. How would one use the locoroco demo/ape quest as a base?

I was told PS Vita's standalone ARK-4 now worked on + 3.65 but I was always on 3.60 and it never did.

I replaced the "–" on Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies with a "-" and I'm not having the previous problems (the game appearing on the Custom Launcher with an odd name, the PSP freezing when hovering or passing by it and the 80010016 error code appearing after running the game from the XMB). I had to use an USB cable to connect the PSP to the PC to change the game's name since nothing happened after I renamed it on ARK-4's "Files" and the game's name was too long for the "–" to even appear on FileZilla Client.

EDIT: Now I can run the previous game fine with the "–" again on the XMB and the PSP doesn't freeze when hovering and passing by it on the Custom Launcher but it still appears on it with an odd name so I'll replace the "–" in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies with a "-" again.

This did not happen in Ark 4.19.6. Using psp slim with Ark cIPL. Also, have the following settings always enabled:

- usb charge
- extra memory
- MS speedup
- scan: save data, category entries, dlc files

using Game Categories Lite plugin v1.6.

Update:

Disabling extra memory while keeping MS speedup and inferno cache enabled also works. They just can't be all three enabled.
