You are supposed to use your title keys that you've got from your console, after that if you want to discuss about that, I can only recommand you to go to the @Crystal the Glaceon's thread.
What I wanted to explain is that if it really was an Open Source eShop alternative, it would feature every bit of the original, including actual money spending, and it is not, at all. It's actually downloading from Nintendo's servers, and installs without questioning. Is it legal? absolutely, the program simply does what eShop does, abusing a blatant flaw. Is it morally wrong? Of course it is, but no one really cares about it :P

Out of curiosity, is there a location to request missing titlekeys from?

u can provide those missing titlekeys by buying said game and uploading the keys to the 3ds titlekeys site :P

Dude, this is not the thread to discuss about that. On the original thread there were a lot of shit like this. FreeShop offers downloads from YOUR titlekeys binary. If you don't want to pirate any game, just use your own one and you can only download the games you've purchased on eShop. It's exactly the same than eShop but showing the code. @arc13, who is the one in charge of this fork, doesn't promote piracy, people using keys from that titlekey site ARE the pirates. Not gonna continue this cause there's a whole thread and sorry because it's off-topic.

Btw, @arc13 my console is still freezing when downloading 2 or more DLC or updates. The music is still playing so I simply can't move around the games. Tried redownloading and reinstalling the app but same issue.

Just playing around, I substituted the .com in the title site name for .gq and it worked. (oh it's plain http this time too)
Beginners luck :P

"open source eShop alternative", downloading games for free is easy piracy, agree or not, it is.

The difference is, no one denies that freeShop can be used for piracy. But that is still a matter of personal choice to do so.
That's really kind of the entire nature of this scene. The option of choice, where no one really encourages you to pirate your games. But at the same, the option is still there and you can choose to do so. All freeShop does is give you a different method of downloading your games, how you use it is completely up to you.
But I digress, I do have a thread covering the legality of freeShop itself. I don't object to continuing this conversation if you want, but I would highly suggest bringing it to that thread instead. I can of made it to bring the entire "is this legal?" argument out of this thread and bring it to it's own thread.

Url is exactly the same. Just take the s off of https and replace com with gq. That easy.
