why go out of your way to make this and make it only do one thing???? in your next release please make it have the ability to go back as the one i have says it can convert cia back to 3ds but the damn thing is trash and don't work for crap.
always says file don't exist even with python installed.

no they aren't complete dumps. you need to use uncart to make a full image dump of a game card.

I'm using simple .cia converter right now and followed the steps, got the .xorpads, and am about to convert the .3ds files in the roms folder, but when i click the button and it asks me to select the roms they don't show up, and if i clock open on the roms folder, the program goes not responding on me. This happen to anyone else?

EDIT: I am using it in administrator mode btw, also when I let it wait, I got some chinese/japanese error message :\

Perfectly normal, it wants a folder as input (not files) even though it just chooses to use the regular file selector as opposed to the tree-only folder one!
And there is no progress indicator, the program just waits until the heavy job is done!

It probably says "out of memory" even though it's a different issue, someone already asked for this (with a picture) somewhere on this topic iirc

as long as we don't have the hacked bootrom, the conversion is not as simple as you might think.

you have to generate XOR files from each .3ds rom. so putting a specific file onto the 3DS then creating the XORpad and then converting the rom to .cia.

don't get me wrong: it is not a total hassle if you have done it at least once. but it is annoying and takes several steps.

Yes you got me but in my defence I only get a few days ago second hand and not bothered to clean it lol

My cart of Ridge Racer 3D EU but doesn't matter what game i try (mine or off the net) I get the same thing.

I know I put a .3ds file in the rom folder of simple converter, run it and find it so it makes ncchinfo.bin file, put that on the root or dycrypt9 folder and run decrypt9 then the generation option to get the xorpads, put them in the right folder, run the program again and thats when i get that message
