Hacking ReiNX issues

SOLUTION:
After trying different SD cards, Windows, Mac, different SD card readers, payload injectors etc.. the problem came down to the files
Im using the same SD card as i originally used. formatted the SD card using Mac (Fat32). but instead of using the files on the reinx.guide i used these files http://destyy.com/wCbktU
I have no idea why these files work but it does and im able to boot into CFW.

the one error i did have was that it was not detecting the switch folder on my SD root. i had to format my sd card to fat32 and it was able to detect the folder

Hello everyone,

I was hoping to seek some help here
I bought a Switch XAW40004 edition (unpatched) running 6.2.0
I've attempted to instal ReiNX 2.0 and followed the guide provided by the official website.
I am using Mac OSX

I copied the necessary files from the guide to the dot. had these files verified by other users and I constantly get this glitched ReiNX screen and then it turns off

I've tried using 3 different SD cards and the same issue happens. tried using the files from sdguide and same thing

I've tried using fusee on Mac OSX and also payload injector (portable) and the same issue happens
I also tried gab /how-to-fix-archive-bit-for-all-sd-files-and-folders.515258/ with no luck.

I then tried to use Hekate and was able to backup files. and then tried to instal CFW Kosmos. selected that option and the script runs and then black screen. no Nintendo logo
I repaired the tool > repair sd except Nintendo without an issues

I've tried to format the card via Nintendo Switch, Mac OS disk utility, VM Microsoft using a sdformat.exe file and the stock format
I've tried to use Fat32 and also EXFat and continue to experience these issues


I have no idea what to do next.
- I have another sd card coming in the mail in a few days if that has anything to do with it
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

- restored the device to factory default incase there was a OS bug, still glitchy screen in ReiNX, unable to boot

Tried using atmosphere and I would launch CFW on hekate, Script would run and black screen.

Have you tried kosmos?

Also I had the same issue with reinx, it was a while ago but I believe it was to do with injecting the wrong payload.

Mac + switch = shit. Don't use a Mac. I use a virtual machine with Windows and my problem is gone.

I’ll try doing everything on VM windows from exfat format to transferring files etc.. I’ll try later on today and update you guys here.

all the problems I've had have always been related to the mac. Using a virtual machine windows all the problems I had disappeared.
let us know if you solve. Possibly delete everything except "NINTENDO" and copy everything with windows.

Try choudujour, the rcm version, to fix the on-board os, because it sounds like it's just failing to boot and if the other files on the sd are right, it could be trying to boot a corrupted nand os.

I formatted the SD using windows. downloaded fresh ReiNX files from the reins.guide website and still have the glitch boot screen.
(I used virtual machine (parallel) Windows 10)
I also did try Fat32 file format and same issue happened

also whenever the screen glitches like in the original post, the screen turns off and I have to wait a few minutes in order for it to boot. holding the power button initially doesn't do anything
I downloaded the files off of Nevercholt tech tutorial video for atmosphere and received this error message when trying to boot into Hekate and try CFW atmosphere

in hekate if I format using the Nintendo the screen simply flashes "welcome to atmosphere" and turns off. if i format the SD card via windows I get the error message below (3rd pic)

any other suggestions ?

I can record a video of system boot or provide any information to try and resolve the issue
I also use this payload injector (can't post hyperlinks. change. "_" to a "." xkit_xyz RCMloaderone )

All CFWs should work on all firms. Stop shilling shit and misleading OP. Anyways, its clearly an SD issue, either the card is bad or the connection of the sd reader needs to be re-seated.. Worst case scenario, the molex connector solder joints are damaged.

jesus christ i get that its hard to use your brain because you are using gbatemp but i mean it takes all of 3 brain cells to realize that if they can boot the cfw without their sd inserted (which they can) its not going to be fixed by swapping CFWs is it?

I could point out that reinx is the only cfw that doesnt rely on the SD necessarily.. it boots without an sd card or sd reader even..

Anyways i've had a unit that had faulty solder joints on the sd reader molex..

he contacted me in pms and we came to the conclusion its his SD card, hes getting a new one in a few days.

my comment was as helpful as the comments telling him to try a different CFW like kosmos or atmosphere because if his cfw boots without his SD then it isnt the cfw is it?
