hey guys, i have a question

On PSP, i remember i would backup saves just by copying the whole SAVEDATA folder to my PC

Im on 3.60 henkaku, and I did the same thing backing up saves from ux0/user/00/TITLEID*
but i read somewhere that Vita saves are actually encrypted or something?

My question is, would VITA saves backuped this way, work on another VITA on henkaku or for example in x or y years when/if we get a VITA emulator?

Or am I supposed to backup saves with QCMA/CMA instead because of the encryption thing?

Yes, Vita app saves are encrypted

Compare this to a 3DS: the .sav files are encrypted (though Vita doesn't have the "secure value" bullshit so indeed you can backup them, along with the app itself, with content manager)
With a homebrew (that temporarily replaces the app), you can make decrypted backups that can be restored on any (3.60) console

Whats the name of this homebrew?

on 3ds, (on gateway at least) i know saves are encrypted to the Title ID, so usually what i do is only download scene releases so i can use my saves on a common available dump of my game

Never knew the process on how to change title ID on 3DS

So, with the homebrew, i can restore vita saves to ANY vita?
