Hello there! I've come asking about save data regarding the Switch 1 and Switch 2, specifically with a modded Switch 1. Basically, I want to have my completed save data for my Switch 1 cartridges available on my Switch 2 as well. Since there is only the "proper" option of transferring, I can't normally do this. Point is, I am considering backing up my save data for my Switch 1 titles using a homebrew app. Then transferring those saves to the Switch 2. After that, I would restore my backup saves to the Switch 1. Thus, having a copy of the saves on both systems.
Thing is, after doing this what would happen if you played a game online on the Switch 1 with the restored save one day. And then played that same game on the Switch 2 with the copied save another day? I ask this, because Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are both cartridges I am wanting to do this process with.
And no, these save are not modded. Also no, I cannot play the same game at the same time on both systems since I only have one cartridge for each of my games!
