Okay it doesn't seem to be in-game graphics. But at least we get an idea of what the game will look like. I'm staying cautiously optimistic. I know Ubisoft is actually putting alot of effort into this game but I'm really not seeing anything definite yet. Hope we see more at E3.

That was pretty kick-ass, but I need some in-game footage before I can be impressed.

From what I've seen on Nintendo Power.. that's supposed to be ingame!

But.. Ubisoft already photoshoped videos and images on the first Red Steel to make them look better, so.. I won't believe it until I see a real gameplay video [IMG]

    Still, looks pretty cool

I know that they edited some of the pics for the first red steel but ubisoft wouldn't be dumb enough to do that again.

Good teaser, maybe this might be a big improvement from the previous title.

Imma add up some new details about red steel 2

Just saw the video too and it's looking very bad ass! The cell shading looks pretty nice, I can't wait for more details and release date about this game.

Hopefully this is actually a good FPS or action game in its own right rather than a cheap cash-in on Wii controls like the original.

    I'm optimistic.

Pretty sure that IS in-game footage. They're using their LyN engine, I believe, to achieve those visuals. Very impressive.

Wow, looks fantastic and could potentially be very cool. Hopefully the
comment doesn't mean this turns into a mindless hack 'n' slash.

It does appear the game will be sword focused rather then gun play. I'm curious to know how and if you can just equip you gun quickly. Oh and the enemy blocks bullets with his sword. Maybe we can too?

Except the first game was NOT a "cheap cash-in." It was intended to be the ultimate FPS experience, to showcase the brilliance of the Wii controller with the 1:1 control that was originally promised. Then, as it turned out, the Wiimote did not deliver on said promise and Ubisoft had to recode everything. Then they had to rush the development to get it out the door as a launch title. That's why it was so ugly and the controls were so painful (also, why they felt the need to photoshop their screenshots). I'm not saying they should have done it, but to say the first game was simply a "cash-in" is just plain incorrect and outstandingly ignorant (especially since it was basically Nintendo's fault it sucked).

Ubisoft has had one terrible experience and two years to develop this game, I find it very hard to believe they will fuck this up. Yes, they have put out a LOT of shovelware BS, but they have also created some pretty terrific games. I'm a little cautious about it, but with Ubisoft's experience and the amount of FPSs that have been released on the Wii they would have to be completely daft to not make it at least a decent game.

EDIT: Also, the trailer looks fantastic. I love the style and I'd be willing to bet the game looks like that. It's certainly not beyond the Wii's capabilities.
