Hardware Red flashing light on boot. What do i do

Bought second hand ps3 not turning on. When i try to turn onYellow light then red flashing then it turns of. Anyone know the problem or how to fix. Thanks. I tryed looking online but found nothing helpfull. First time owning a ps3 dont know what to do

That's the yellow light of death. Your console is either telling you that it is overheating too much, and it's full of dust, or something is seriously wrong with it. The most common cases are either the motherbord or power supply failing. Both of these are very repairable, if you don't mind spending a bit of cash. Either way, you're gonna need to open up your console.

Edit: Replacing either of your failed components is a permanent fix, as far as I'm aware.
