New Wii project

A friend of mine wants to start a project that would be friendly to blind people.
He is currently recruiting people to help him out with the project.

This is the list that he send over to me:
Graphics designer: 2d/3d item/characters modeling, animation, environments

Sound designer: music, special effects, creature sounds, dialogue recording
AI programming: artificial intelligence programming/ collision detection
Programmers (to keep the code clean and combine everything)
Graphic designer: Map design
Cast of 7 voice actors, with some experience if possible

Anyone that wants to help out for free should contact me at
wii.ambassador AT gmail.com

Silly question but if its for blind people why do you need:

"Graphics designer: 2d/3d item/characters modeling, animation, environments" ?

Sorry if I dont fully understand how a blind person would play a video game...

2 reasons

It's blind-friendly, not blind-only, so anyone can play it and find it appealing.

We might need the graphic existence for the interaction

Look, my friend has already thought how it should work. I'm just here to find the guys to help him. He is probably thinking an audio guidance plus whatever-he-thought.

Think that you are playing wii tennis. Now think that you can hear a sound getting louder from your wiimote as the ball get's near you. Wouldn't you be able to return it then with your eyes closed? Not only that, if you were used to the sound you could perform early and late returns on purpose to make it difficult for the other to return it.

Imagine playing Ocarina of time now, but not as chaotic as it original was. Now, imagine that you were in a dungeon that you couldn't see anything and the navi was used as a radar. So by pressing the navi button, you were getting the info "3 enemies, one 2 feet ahead, two 3 feet at your right. No special items. Two traps. Next door, 6 feet ahead, 2 left. Locked by enemies (means kill them all)." And then suddenly "Alert, enemy at range" and you would slash him with your remote which would perform a round attack. Same way you could be alerted for traps. Now let's say there is a switch you should hit with an arrow. The radar navi will also add "Puzzle position 7 feet to your right, one ahead". So when you got there by blindly doing the steps and trusting navi, navi will scream with joy "Puzzle Time! Hit the target by pointing to your television (it's where the main sound comes from) and following the beeping sound. When you find the 'loud' spot press the under button to hit the target"

Just some ideas that come right into my mind when I'm thinking this project

Ofcourse it's possible, it just seems very improbable. If your friend already has a concrete idea of what the game will be, aside from just ideas for games that blind people might be able to play, then post it.

Otherwise you'll never find people interrested in joining your project, which can already be quite hard.
