Hacking Recommended Flash Carts

i have a firecard at the moment but it does work that well alot of games will not work so i after a bew card
out of the following would be the best to get
i only want it to play games nothing else

CycloDS
M3
DSTT
Edge
AK2
R4 III Upgrade Revolution
R4 Nintendo DS Simply

its just that i can get any of these from a local shop near me

i got me an acekard 2 and its great, you will love the interface and it plays every game i throw at it.

R4 III is a clone and will eventually be bricked with an update later on in the year..

Never heard of Nintendo R4 DS Simply??

AK2 is good, Im thinking about getting one, Pretty basic, Thats all I need anyway..

Same with the Edge..

DSTT, not sure, Have heard its a bit more complicated than Edge and AK2

M3, meh, havent heard much about it..


Cyclo seems to be top range atm, but if you dont need all the features, Go for the EDGE of Ak2..

If you want the best flashcart and don't care about the price: CycloDS Evolution
If you want the best flashcart but do care about the price: Acekard 2
If you want a flashcart with onboard NAND memory: Acekard R.P.G.
If you want a flashcart that also offers a Slot-2 (not for free though): EZFlash V & M3DS Real
If you want a Slot-2 expansion: EZFlash 3-in-1 (GBA, RAM, & Rumble)
If you want a flashcart that could possible brick your Nintendo DS: R4 DS, R4 III & N5

I wouldn't suggest getting the Acekard 2 because there have been many problems with them dying after a month of use.

A good budget card like the EDGE or DSTT would suit you best.

That problem has been fixed though. Also, if you're really unlucky to get a bad one, just exchange it. Although I'll doubt you'll get a bad one anyway.

Whats the problem with the EDGE card? I've been looking around and haven't found anything that hasn't been user related, looked to be a good card for the price.

Why not get a Cyclo, it rarely has any problems and it runs all games and most homebrews. I never had a problem with my Cyclo with my very first DS.

not a bad price i think all i need now is a micro sd card
