If she likes puzzle games then try Prism; kept my sister quiet for hours and I've heard other people on here raving about it.

I can't think of any "girl" games that aren't extremely "girly" (i.e. overly pink and horse-related and aimed at five-year-olds), so I'll just name some of the games a female friend of mine likes.

Let's see... Touch Detective, Professor Layton, Picross, Sudoku, Osu Takae Ouendan, Elite Beat Agents, Taikou no Tetsujin DS, Animal Crossing.

But I don't know if that's of any help. Above the age of, say, five, girl gamers are no different than guy gamers, and I think the distinction you're looking for here is "casual games" versus the "hardcore" games.

There are Barbie games and the Nintendogs and other animal games.

My sisters favourite games are the ouendan series (also elite beat agents)

Try that one

Worms Open Warfare 2. Girls are ridiculously good at Worms in general for some insane reason.

It's cause they're cold and calculating.

well, yeah it's not like anyone here is 5 and and into pink ponys.. nor am i dating a 5 year old.. i guess more the casual games or the pick and play type games is what i'm looking for.. good way of wording it.. and as far girls gamers are different from guy gamers.. i have to concur.. different things appeal to different genders.. but yes some things do appeal to both.

QUOTE(ben_r_ @ Mar 5 2008, 02:59 PM) Animal Crossing and retro mario and NES games is what my gf plays. Shes got a pink DS too.

did she complain and said it was an ugly pink? i think the japanese ds pink looks a lot better.

thanks for the feedback everybody, looks like i should look into animal crossing everybody speaks highly of it.. and yeah.. she doesn't like cooking mama and i do most of the cooking.. haha.

Animal Crossing, My Sims, any sort of Sims game for that matter, Phoenix Wright, Mario Kart, EBA, Harvest Moon, Pokemon.

That's just a list off the top of my head. As has been mentioned before, girls don't really require 'girly' games. However, I think these games would be okay for someone who doesn't game regularly.

Trust me, these are the games for girls:

Pokemon
PW
New Super Mario Bros. ( Mostly the Minigames )
Nintendogs ( any other ripoff sux )
Super Princess Peach
Big Brain Academy
Elite Beat Agents ( Ouendon 2 [jap] is better tho )
Yoshi's Island
Animal Crossing/My Sims

My sister, mom, and gf all play these games. I play some of them, but i'll stick to my contra 4, AW: DoR, Trauma center, etc. lol

My girlfriend played/plays:

- Elite Beat Agents (She did beat all the levels and difficulties, way more effort than me)

- Trauma Center
- Mario Kart (She did beat all the levels and difficulties, way more effort than me)

- Dolphin Island
- Nintendogs
- Another Code

Well I'm a girl, maybe I can name a few for you. Granted I play anything, I really enjoy text based and puzzle games for the ds.

Some of my fav games at the moment:

Lifesigns:surgical unit (like pw but your a doctor)
Picross
Pic-Pic(so many puzzles it's ridiculous)
Neves
Prism:light the way
Touch detective 1 and 2
Pheonix Wrights
Brain buster puzzle pak
Hotel dusk
Master of illusion(constantly buggin my husband to see my magic tricks)
Solitaire overload
Wordjong
Professor layton

Hope I did not miss any...

The ds is a great platform for puzzling! And girls are better at logic stuff anyway!

OMG Cooking Mama is the ultimate chick game. Like I have that on my DS to get their attention.

And uh, try like other stylus games like EBA and uh, 42 All Time Classics. And maybe even Apollo Justice. I dunno.
