So I'm finishing up Gungrave right now, and I need something new to watch....

I've already watched or already am watching:
Naruto
Bleach
Berserk
Baccano!
Last Exile
Hajime no Ippo
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Gungrave
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Initial D
FLCL
uhh... if I've forgotten others, they're probably too crappy anyways

Oh, and I enjoy series with deep storylines (like Serial Experiments Lain, maybe? I've only heard about it)

Someone can explain me all the buzz around Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya?
I agree, aside from the animation I thought it was very mediocre....

That's the basketball anime right?
Yes, but give it a chance. I didn't like Basketball either, but this anime is simply amazing.
Well, I did enjoy Hajime no Ippo (actually I recommend it to you), and that was also a sports anime about boxing.

I read the manga and it was a little overwhelming (perhaps it was because I read it at 1 in the morning), is the anime much better?

Thanks for the replies.

I can recommend a couple excellent movies...
Appleseed and the more recent appleseed ex (great cgi)
Vampire Hunter D
Akira (a classic)
Ninja Scroll

uhmm... what else
Elfen Lied
Gantz (I really liked that series)
Ghost in the Shell (2nd gig too)

Girls Bravo wasn't bad, though I still haven't figured out what ever possessed me to watch it after the first episode. Can't say I really liked the Naruto line of stuff, though I did like DragonBall and Inu Yasha.

edit:/ all else fails, there is always Sailor Moon

(and yeah, I'm definitely kidding on that one)

Ranma is always fun.
Ranma was REALLY repetative, and none of the characters were developed much...
Flame of Recca is a much better choice! ^^
