Hacking Rebuilding .cc files taking hours?(akaio)

I've just added a code to my mario kart ds (U) and i tried rebuilding the .cc file. It was taking hours and hours to rebuild. It didnt even finish! Is it normal for rebuilding a .cc file after adding a new code to take this long? Im using a usrcheat.dat db from GBAtemp and have a acekard 2i with akaio. Please help.
