This thread covers REBUG (ps3 hack) Only . I heard it is the best and i don't want rogero och others..

I've a few questions regarding REBUG

I know that there exists 7 different REX files on rebug.me . But Im only interested in 2 of them, version 4.30.2 and 3.55.4. The reasons of these two is that 4.30 (what i know) is the latest downgradeable rebug firmware.

From youtube I got info that: rebug 4.30 can be downgraded to rebug 3.55 using just a update file if QA flag is enabled. Is this info correct?

Also, how do I downgrade rebug 3.55.4 to ofw 3.55 If i wish to go *stealth* ? :)

REX EDITION – INSTALL ON CEX PS3 SYSTEM
REX EDITION – INSTALL ON CEX PS3 SYSTEM
REBUG 4.46.1 REX EDITION – AUG. 2ND 2013
REBUG 4.41.3 REX EDITION – AUG. 2ND 2013
REBUG 4.30.2 REX EDITION – MAR. 17TH 2013
REBUG 4.21.2 REX EDITION – JAN. 3RD 2013
REBUG 3.55.4 REX EDITION – JAN. 3RD 2013
’999′ DOWNGRADER – JAN. 3RD 2013'

My last quesion is simple: How do I play PS3 games from USB on rebug 4.30 or 3.55?

-How do I add PS3 games to USB ?
-How do I get tools neccisary to play PS3 games from USB? (i heard rebug includes multiman in its versions but im not sure)
-How do I play PS3 games using this tools on my PS3?

I also love to know how to use Retroarch to play emulated roms on the PS3

Thank you, hope some one here can answer these questions :)

You point me to another forum? Why Bobbybagin?

Im asking about 3-4 question here.

Can rebug 3.55 be downgraded to 3.55 ofw ? (original firmware)
How to add games to USB to play PS3 Games?
and
How to play PS3 games from an USB-device? (using multiman, or what you use)

There were answers and tutorials for every question you asked in that forum.

You can install 3.55 OFW over Rebug 3.55 CFW. No need to downgrade.

You need to use a backup manager such as multiman or iris manager to play or rip backups of your games to or from a usb device.

also from the site you point too I read this : http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=55639

Time to Release:
Rebug: Considerable amout of time is taken to build and test the CFW to make sure it is reliable and stable from release.
Rogero/HABIB: The CFW is rushed most of the times and would be full of bugs when released initially.
Impact on users: Releasing a CFW immediately after an OFW is released is not good for anyone. It would be full of bugs and might cause bricks and will result in the release of many versions later to fix those bugs. It's not a race, it's not about who releases first, it's about who releases a reliable and stable CFW no matter how long it takes.

Professionalism:
Rebug: Professional work with a website, release notes, installation notes and updates.
Rogero/HABIB: Amateur work released in forum threads.
Impact on users: The lack of a homepage with the latest Rogero CFW version confuses users which might lead them to install an early version full of bugs. Rebug's professional work gives users peace of mind and gives them the feeling that they can put their trust in a team who will always meet and exceed their expectations.

Overall Conclusion:
Rebug is the most solid CFW out there. It is a complete CFW which is reliable and stable from release. Rogero/HABIB is an OK CFW once it's stable after many versions, but it lacks many tools to support it, many of Rebug's tools have to be used to make full use of it.

Bobby, stop it. Its like saying the answers is on Google.

Ofcourse they're are but we use forum to limit the scope, and find people who has this knowledge. Not a website.

Rogero is a fine CFW. It's only lacking the bells and whistles that a Rebug has implemented, half of which the average end user will never take advantage of. The preferable CFW for me is the Rogero/Cobra 4.46 hybrid CFW.

Oh, I see. You're wanting somebody to spoon feed you a step by step instruction of how to do it. Good Luck :)

read on a forum ..

how do you install 4.30.1 rebug? over 3.5 ? Answer: You should go to 3.55 CFW first so you can enable QA flagging. Then update to 4.xx CFW.

Which is exactly why you should read the complete tut's on the forums instead of relying on random answers for help. It appears there is a method to my madness after all.

after installing cfw 3.55 , installing rebug toolsbox, and enabling QA flag in rebug toolbox, should i setup/enable anything else on my ps3?'

and how to upgrade cfw 3.55 to cfw 4.30 , after setting qa flag enabled in rebug tool box - should i just download and install the 4.30 update file? :)

what i missing is... is this required :

"Now in your xmb you will have a icon that says CEX/DEX. This how you set your mode. Example debug or retail mode.
(leave the cex/dex icon in the game menu so you can easily change back and forth)

When you first enter this you will be in retail mode. I suggest setting this to ...
After you have set your mode to debug your ps3 will now be spoofed to version 4.00.

MODE: REBUG
XMB: DEBUG
DEBUG MENU: 2

and how to upgrade cfw 3.55 to cfw 4.30 , after setting qa flag enabled in rebug tool box - should i just download and install the 4.30 update file? :)

Those last steps are not necessary, but they are necessary to remember if you ever want to get off of Rebug. They are just for optimization. You will have to go back and reverse those steps before updating to another firmware, if you set them as stated above.

Yes, with QA flag enabled you can now install your CFW over the other ones. You only need to downgrade if installing a lower firmware, unless it is patched to the current highest syscon.

Why is rogero/cobra prefered over rebug? is it easier to play ps3 games?
