How does this CFW's screenshot feature compare to NTR CFW's? Is this one less glitchy? Does it allow you take 3d screens, or capture both top screen pics to make your own 3d pics from them?
Worse, because it's from arm9 and cannot read any of the GPU registers to determine important info. Literally the worst way to take screenshots tbh.

1 question. can Reinand with cia cubic ninja installed be used as an entry point for another cfw (ie pasta?)

dont really know why should i do that. just out of interest

You can use Cubic Ninja > Ninjhax > Pasta cfw. You won't need to go through Reinand to get to Pasta.

I was asking because i dont have cubic ninja. i only have gateway

Oh, my mistake. Completely overlooked that cia part.
I know Ninjhax can be launched from Reinand, idk if you'd be able to launch Pasta from Rei though. :|

You can actually boot ReiNand then boot NTR 3.0 to get your screenshot features.

I have tested that with my new3ds xl. works fine

I used Big Blue Menu through Gateway and it worked fine.
Of course it works fine on Gateway. Im asking about BBM in ReiNand, it fails.

No. You misunderstood me. I installed Big Blue Menu on my emuNAND using Gateway and it works fine in ReiNand mode.

NEWS: AlbertoSONIC copied ReiNAND code, which has no license for now, to rxTools, licensed under GPL, and b1l1s found that.
We are working on solving the issue.

My opinion:
It's not acceptable that AlbertoSONIC copied the code without checking the license. On the other hand, probably Reisyukaku has released the source code in hope that it's useful for others, so it may be time to have its own license to make it clear.

in legal terms, it's a violation of copyright unless an agreement via a license of some sort has been established. everything you create is copyrighted by default as long as it has a reasonable amount of creativity. IE; if you write an API_compatible clone of nintendo's SDK, it's legal, as long as you wrote it your own way and didn't copypasta. Reinand needs a license, kind of : / even a statement putting the whole thing in the public domain or whatever would be fine.

According to b1l1s, rninstaller is licensed under BSD 2-clause, compatible with GPL, although it doesn't have any notice.
It means it's completely OK to relicense it under GPL if we have the notice about the original author. We'll investigate the license in the detail...

What on earth is your deal with licenses. Sometimes I wonder if you're secretly a lawyer. :P

Just chill out -- people are doing this for fun. If anyone does steal code, it's not like these petty kangeroo-court docs will slow them down anyway lol.

I'm just using licenses to make my intention clear. Now I need to know what intention he has.

From the way you said that, It seems I'm a fucking thief. I didn't copied reinand code, I just added n3ds support to MSET by looking at the changes made by Rei at the CakesROP installer!

EDIT: and if we want to analize everything, you @173210 put Pasta Team license on CakesROP code! @b1l1s noticed that only now, but It's not my mistake, it yours!

@173210 ,Reisyukaku have give the code source, what's your problem ?

just for suck nintendo ?
rxTools is licensed under GPL, which forces others to release their source codes if they includes our source code. This realizes our policy expressed as "Support the original, not the imitation!", but some dislikes the license.
So I'm waiting for him to ask whether we can include their source code.

Oh, yes, that's right. I forgotten to add that. Sorry.

It's still important to always keep licenses in mind when you copy or borrow from other's code. Even if its just "for fun", you should always respect the developer's wishes when you use or expand on their code.

You're definitely right on that. Its not difficult to request permission.
