The N3DS firmware 9.6+ has new encryption keys. Until those are cracked and made public, a new exploit allowing the N3DS to emulate firmware 9.6+ won't be released.

The contents of ReiNand, the nds in rnInstaller is to install the MSET ROP.

sorry still confused ><. So the main release file, has 2 files, Reinand and rninstaller. In the reinand folder, there are 2 folders and a file, 3ds and rei folder, and reinand.dat file.

Should I take the reinand folder itseld, along with the file in rninstaller, and put it in the memory? So basically it will be 2 files, renand one that contains the 2 folders and file above, and the rninstaller file? Also, should I put it in the main root of the SD or should I put it in the 3ds folder that ninjahax created?

Edit: Just to be clear, I just created new folders on the desktop instead of taking a shot of my actual mSDs since they'd be far more cluttered. Each window is the root of your mSDs.

one more question to unlink nands on a new 3ds, from what I read you format emunand with the gateway menu, then without a sd in the n3ds you do a format right? My question is, is it possible to install gateway menu without a gateway, or unlink the nands without the use of a gateway menu? can you put GW_INSTALLER.nds on any ds flashcard to install it?

You need gateway menu to create your Emunand, you do not need a gateway cart though. Just cubic ninja (with Gateways QR code) or OOT (with the save file).
Once you've installed the bluecardfix.cia, you'll be able to use the rop installer on any NDS flashcart.

You can use GW to create an emunand, since it never boots it.

Is even possible to boot gba vc cia with reinand? I have agb_firm patch in sysnand, unlinked. Am I out of luck or there s something I can do to play gba games?

ok, the reinand.dat file and rei folders are in the root while the folders in the 3ds folder from reinand are in the 3ds folder. I can see reinand in ninjahax but whenever i try to run it, it just comes up with a black screen. Any ideas?

You have an Emunand setup already right?
In your Rei folder, do you have splash.bin - firmware.bin - thread/arm9.bin - emunand/emunand.bin ?
^Or to put that another way, did you download the latest ReiNand? *From today*^

Yes i put them in the microsd card but i never ran them in the 3ds. Yes I got it today, its renandver2.

I think the problem is both reinand.dat file in the renand folder and the rnsunstaller.nds. Where am I supposed to put those?
