i wouldn't buy memory from ebay, you don't know what you're getting. it could be a fake, but it could also be real - it's a gamble.

I'm looking to get an 8gb stick. Which one is the faster one, the Sony or the SanDisk ULTRA II?

I'd say that one is a fake, they sometimes either mask their country as USA from China or export fakes to the US and sell them within the USA. You need to be able to see packaging. There are real Ultra II's on ebay now especially because people are trying to hawk ones they just jogged down to staples and bought last and this week. It's easy to spot a fake if you can see the packaging. The card itself looks virtually identical to the real thing. For some reason, they never duplicate the packaging properly.

If it's fake, then you need to call SanDisk. You'll get a refund and the seller will be charged with fraud. Unfortunately this only applies to the US and Canada, so Chinese sellers are still able to sell fake ones.

you stick it in your psp, go to memstick and hit triangle.

if it shows "magic gate: supported"

its genuine, if not its fake.

if its fake it shows "magic gate: unkown"
