hey on the wii u I was able to just reinstall a game over the existing game

what's the deal with the switch? would it be the same method

just tried mario kart, the game was there already but when i tried to reinstall with the downloaded content + update the data got corrupted
im wondering if there is a way to delete the games first then re-install?

So here are the problems
Some of the games i cant find the update file

So i deleted the game and then attempted a reinstall

On the second attempt the update on the game still did not work
But this time the game will not even launch

Instead the switch tries to download the update (bogus dns entries in place it will never work) and i could not find a way to ‘start the software’ to bypass the download whereas previously the game would launch

Is there a fix for this?

You can use exosphere instead of DNS. As for update goes, delete ticket associated with the game and update if you are reinstalling the game and update.

if you're legit, just archive the games, then click on them when there's a cloud overhead. delete first obviously. you can delete entirely, but it's not really worth it. Nintendo does have the best way to get games back of any of the big three imo.

I did not really understand what you mean by deleting tickets?

I have noticed since I deleted the game and re-installed I can no longer play the game unless I can find the update file
its for nintendo sports switch. as it is asking for the update

before there was a way to start the game, I noticed that there is actually a way to override this and i didnt need to actually reinstall.

The system would remember that there is a update if you don't clear the ticket that is associated with the file.
