I dumped my nand partially with 4 gb sd card as 30 files and my (last rawnand.bin file) rawnand.bin.29 was just only 120 mb, while the others were 1 gb. I collected them all with the file joiner, it didn't give any errors but my rawnand.bin total size is just 30.5 gb. I read about it is supposed to be about 32 gb. So what did I wrong? Or the is the whole process correct?

My NAND backup is only 29.1 GB, but I'm not sure what the average size is meant to be.

Ok first use punctuation and paragraphs, that was painful to read.

31.268.536.320 bytes in size, which equals roughly 29.12 GB
31.268.536.320 B is exactly 31,268.536.320 GB https://www.google.com/search?q=31.268.536.320+bytes+in+gb

You don't know the units! Learn them, they are very important.

if you brick your console, i assume you can still manage to work with the rcm and restore the nand right?

Was it really necessary to triple post because of an abbreviation? Just accept that 99% of the people use GB and mean GiB, same for MB. Even Microsoft doesn't do it right, probably for the sake of convenience:
zwischenablage02mre0r.jpg

and you expect people to differentiate?
(on a sidenote, that's the size of my NAND backup 7zipped. Do that if you don't have much stuff installed on user partition, and want to save some space).

Guess I'll just have to buy a new switch, woe is me
Don't worry, he just made a huge deal out of the difference between GB and GiB.
