You mean not if it only works on specific wiis.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. If you haven't tested the new leaderboards yet or don't do so soon, you're out of the beta.
I knew I should have tested it when I had the chance. Oh well, at least it's nice that game sorting is added in.

Wait a minute, I just remembered I already added the new leaderboards before, but I never got around to it.

Yeah, that too.

Who recently has joined IRC and actually, you know, stayed?
Since you asked, DGXP, Ezzelin, inimitable and LeeSD all seem to be recent frequent visitors.
Betas will not be released outside IRC and customs can be posted on the wiki.

I'm willing to test the Leaderboard thing too, and anything else for that matter. I have an RB2 retail disc and could offer feedback when needed. What the name of the IRC channel? I've joined #RawkSD a few times lately, but I seemed to be the only one there?

Then you're not picking the right IRC server. It's on EFnet (irc.efnet.org).

Ok guys, I'm assuming files are not console specific, otherwise that would create some major issues. So then.... how do we get the songs from rockband NETWORK (xbox and ps3 accessible) onto our little sd cards, and in a usable format?

1) They are console specific
2) You can't play them on the Wii
3) Stop asking for DLC piracy kthxbai

1. Write to Nintendo and HMX and beg them to support licensing of RBN tracks as generic DLC.
2. Silently curse the Wii's hardware limitations which make game updates unfeasible.

Unfortunately, the files are console specific. More importantly, there's no point in porting other consoles' RBN songs to the Wii because you would have no method of purchasing them or providing proof of purchase. Additionally, having a means of importing them into the RawkSD format would, like DLC, break the "analog hole" of Rock Band files and facilitate piracy, something the peeps of RawkSD probably don't want their name attached to.

If the big companies don't plan on making money from rbn on wii, then I hope pirates figure out a way to let some of us play some amazing songs.... that's all I have to say

why don't you just download the charts and sync them to the mp3 for the song if you're so desperate

FoF has most rbn songs.

Small note and almost hesitant to bring it up with the amount of cheapskate idiots around here, but there is actually one very valid reason why looking into Green Day Rock Band would be worth considering: GD:RB is fairly heavily censored, and doing so might allow us to replace the tracks with the unedited versions.

Incidentally since someone mentioned FoF, there is an *excellent* charting of Minority for it which really mimics the strum pattern perfectly. Best damn charting I've seen in those terms.

(But of course I'm still mostly hopeful for the 360 gear support..!)
Keep up the good work guys.
