i have problem to install the customs as you i have a message error when installing on wii...i 'm using a sd card (and not sdhc) so i guess it's because we are both on 4.2...

who has succeed to install customs using 4.2 version of wii???? i'm sure no one did....every one is surely in older version...i think i'll try to downgrade my wii
My PAL Wii is running 4.2 (updated through Nintendo) and RawkSD works fine.
Don't bother downgrading, you risk screwing up your console.

Make sure:
  • The version of RawkSD you're using matches your game's region (the PAL version isn't obtained from the same page Wiki page as the US version).
  • You run the Rawk system prepare patcher, and that it runs successfully before installing customs.
  • Rock Band 2 can actually use your card by downloading a free song from the RB store.
  • You have at least one free block on your console's internal memory.
  • You have a proper Rock Band 2 disc...

It's because you're using a SDHC card (not supported by RB2).

How is that possible then?

There is no way all those songs can fit on one 2 GB SD card.

It even says in the video description about a homebrew app that lets you use USB and SD/SDHC and mentions RawkSD and your name.

I thought thats what this app was suppose to do was let us use the customs as DLC on the bigger sized cards and USB drives.

And btw - I do own the actual Rock Band 2 game as well if that makes any difference.

They could be a bunch of blank songs

Just kidding.

You need some kind of patched game or runtime patch to do this.
The current released version of RawkSD is just used to install customs, and only needs to be ran to install more customs or repair the list after downloading something from the RB store.
Don't ask when the next version of RawkSD with its RB2 loader is being released, because reading the last few pages here should be enough to understand why asking isn't a good idea. It's too late for me to rant on the "people have lives and you should respect them" topic, hopefully that little snapshot helps you understand.

Ah, ok, thank you.

I knew the songs were on a USB HD but didnt know it was using RawkSD 3.0 (its not in the description anywhere).

And trust me, I realize the "people have lives" thing man and I appreciate all the work that has been done to this point even!

So will we be able to use USB drives and/or SD/SDHC in RawkSD 3.0 then?

Sorry, for all the questions, just trying to get a grasp on this.

http://rawksd.japaneatahand.com/wiki/RawkSD_Pal

thanks i succeed...the only problem is that :

i have extract the song of my original rb1 hysteria from muse...i put it in rb2, but when i start it it says i didn't downloaded it well, it won't be in the wii memory (or something like that) and have to dl it again from the nintendo store...do you have teh same problem?

they say i have to access the contract of privacy blablabla ...do i have to accept?

other question...how will it work with guitar hero songs in rb 2 then? ay contract to accept too?

if 40 more people complain (and if you send this message to 10 more people) rawksd 3.0 will be released

Im having trouble getting this to work on my Wii.

Ive had the HBC installed ever since firmware 3.3 (thats what my firmware was when I got a Wii a few years ago) and now Im on firmware 4.2u.

Ive ran the IOS patcher but every time I try to install a custom, I get an error.

I click the install button and an error pops up and then I click exit to return to the HBC and the HBC is blank every time!

I have to exit the HBC and take my card out and put it back in for it to work again.

Im also using a PNY 4 GB SDHC.

Is it because Im using a SDHC or because of me being on 4.2 or a combination of both?

Using RawkSD on a 4.2 Wii, no problems... 195 imports on a 4GB Transcend 133x (various RB1, AC/DC, GHWT, GH5). I've even managed to migrate a couple of the songs, mix them with my legit DLC without messing up the file ordering/numbering on the purely import card.

Waiting patiently for RawkSD 3.0 - keep up the great work guys!

I think that I never see the RawkSD 3.0
I read everyday this thread and the time is runing, september, october, november... and 2010...
Patience.

Thanks for alls.

Since you're a time-traveller (I come to this conclusion because you've been waiting for RawkSD 3.0 since september/october - before it was announced in november), you can just jump forward to when it's out.

That would be awesome... and if you bring it back in the right time we would get it faster.... hahahaha... sorry still checking out the page... in hopes something new happens... who knows maybe tomorrow... hahahahaha... or if you get it from your time travels... I'll already have it yesterday

So "my friend" would like some way to get LEGO Rock Band songs into RB2 even if it's some kind of weird workaround for the time being. Would "my friend" be able to do some fileswappery in WiiScrubber or something to get RawkSD 2.x to read the LRB songs from an older RB game disc?

By the way did I mention what an awesome guy my friend is? He's probably the coolest guy in the world.
