Gaming Random UDP ports being accessed

When I opened up peer block, the only main application I had running uses TCP port 80 and 443; but peer block repeatedly said it was blocking UDP connections from {my internal IP}:{random UDP port}. I wasn't running any torrents nor do I have any torrents;

Would a hi-jack this log or wireshark indicate what exactly is causing these connections?

If you're running windows, try netstat -ab > netstat.txt in a command line, then open the text file and look for the iport. This should tell you what process is using the port and possibly what it's trying to connect to.

There's a similar command for linux. I don't recall what it is off the top of my head. Just netstat with different options.
