Ran into a problem when replacing 3DS XL top screen

I recently got all the replacement parts I needed to repair my 3ds. I was putting the new top screen in and later noticed when trying to connect the ribbon cables coming out of the side that one of the cables is too wide and won’t fit where it is supposed to connect. The bottom cable fits, but the one on top is too big. I checked my old 3ds screen and the ribbon cables coming out of that one both fit. I tried looking this up but couldn’t find any information online about this. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Did I receive the wrong screen or am I doing something wrong? I specifically ordered a screen for the original model 3ds xl

Thanks for letting me know. It was listed specifically as an original model 3ds xl top screen. I contacted the seller and told them they sent the wrong one. What sucks is I bought a glass screen lens and already placed it on this new one before realizing it was the wrong one
