First off its 1T... not T1... its faster then DDR RAM of the 1 2 or 3 flavor.... its also pretty expensive and thats why you only get 22MB's in the Wii.

Its faster in the respect that it has a single clock response time so the latency is extremely low.

I think what is more important is the quality of the RAM, not the amount.

Same can't be said about the DS's main RAM, which had a glitch in it that could take the DS's 66Mhz ARM9 down to 8Mhz in a worst case scenario with non-sequential RAM accesses.
