My buddy and I would like to race in a game, to see who beats it first. Can you guys list some good games to do that in?

Consoles:

Super Nintendo
Gameboy Advance
Wii

If you guys have any good ideas, let us know.

NO RPG's.

'Cause the difference between that and the NES version is. . . . ?

The difference is considering his age he's probably never seen a working NES, much less played one...

If you're looking for one that can be beaten in a single day and you want to sit down at the same time and race, Super Metroid FTW. For a bit longer play, Legend Of Zelda, A Link To The Past (SNES).

We chose Metroid: Zero Mission, and we're having a blast so far, so we're probably sticking with it. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions, but I'll probably be bothering this thread about our progress so after we beat it, any other suggestions are TOTALLY welcome.

Yeah, pretty much any Zelda or Metroid is good, but if you like Zero Mission you must give Super Metroid a go, it's the best of the whole series.
Agreed.

I really wish that they would release a Metroid Collection for the DS (Metroids 1, 2, 3, and 4). They could bump the graphics to a uniform standard on all games and it'd be orgasmic.

Chyea dog, I haven't even touched the game all day yet, too busy fucking around with the Wii and stuff. Priiloader decided to stop working.

EDIT: After I finally beat it, we're both gonna' play Metroid Fusion.
