Hacking R4iDSN Card

Do you have to have a DS in order to update a R4iDSN Card? Or can it be done from the microsd card?

So as long as I don't update my 3DS, I should be able to run any updates on the R4iDSN Card with my 3DS. Correct? But if I update the 3DS and it blocks the R4iDSN Card, I would need a DS to update?

One more question about the R4iDSN Card. I just purchased a 3DS XL, will the R4iDSN Card work with the current 3DS XL firmware? If not, is there a card that does?

Depends on what firmware your XL is on right now. That card doesn't work with the latest 3DS firmware. Only a Supercard DSTWO works on all firmware versions.

All R4iDSN released now can support 3DS4.5.0-10 & NDSi V1.4.5
