Hi Guys

I just recently bought a R4i-SDHC V1.4.1 and I seem to be having a slight problem

I had no problem getting kernel for this card but for some reason when I turn on my DS XL for a split second it recognizes the card is inserted and then all of a sudden it disappears.

My XL's firmware is 1.4.1E so I don't think its my DS blocking the card.

What do you guys think?

Is it a bust card or is my DS blocking me from using it.

Iv tried every kernel under the sun just in case its the software but this cant be the problem as it seems to read the card for a split second.
If it was the software I doubt it would read it at all.

cold be a contact issue, try inserting a piece of paper in front of the card and see if it stays if not then you should put more pieces pf paper.

Thanks Guys

I did try it on my friends DS XL and we had the same problem even tho we have the same firmware on our XL's

I also tried it on my girlfriends DS lite and it just coursed the DS to freeze.

I think your probably right out the card being defective.

Will take it back this Sunday and see if I can get a replacement (fingers crossed)

Ill keep you posted.

Thanks

If you have the option of getting a different flash cart and can afford it, I suggest the Supercard DSTwo. Well worth the $35 to $40 price tag. If you can get an Acekard2i and it is already flashed for 1.4.1 DSi firmware, that would also work far better than an R4 like the one you have there.

I would love to spend that sorta money but really cant afford that at the moment.

Hopefully Ill get this one replaced and Ill have to keep away from any updates for my DS.
