I have R4i-sdhc cart (Red Box). Can you transfer the game files to another cart if you upgrade to say Acekard or supercard two? The skins would also have to converted also?
Thanx

Solution
the r4 ultra was made by acekard and while i don't know for sure those skins might transfer. other cards which use a fork of the wood firmware will also transfer. most clone companies (even cyclods) have used parts of the opensource wood rpg code in their firmware. your best bet would be to grab an acekard skin and see if they look about the same.

as already stated the roms will work. saves should work if they are using the raw format (which they probably are). if not you can always use the save converter. if your save type is not supported just submit some saves to shuny.

I have a 16gb micro sd in my R4i-SDHC with the firmware for the R4i and my Acekard, so yes you can use both whatever card you put the sd card in will boot its proper firmware. roms and saves are transferrable.

Thanks that clears up a lot of stuff being the site is down again. So you can't see any new stuff out there. I'll just try few other sites. I thought the .nds file format may work I didn't have anything to compare to. Now if this keeps up with these upgrades, I'll have to upgrade to a different cart.

Thank you again for all your input. Great site keep up the good work.
