So I bought a DS Lite wanting to play games. I saw that the R trigger was broken and not working. I tried many ways to fix it, like blowing, cleaning, all that; in the end, it didn't work. I am thinking about soldering a new one onto it, but before I do, is there a sure way to make sure I don't break it in the process, or to not do it at all? Are there any games that I like that I can't play on it, or that it plays with difficulty, to see if I should do it or not? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone. I decided to create small restoration tweak patches to address ROM hacks that have frame rate cap removal tweaks applied. While I personally don't mind the uncapped frame rate tweaks that some hacks contain, I also know that such a tweak isn't practical in its current form. Some users have asked me for frame rate cap restoration cheats, so here I am offering something more practical instead. The games were not designed for anything past 30 frames per second, as such, when the frame rate cap is removed, the games end up running as fast as the hardware allows for in a given moment, and fluctuates often depending on the circumstances in-game, feeling more like speed hacks rather than a properly scaled frame rate experience. This will seem like a positive result for a lot of people, until precision is necessary, and the games are running too fast for that to be easily feasible. In order for such direct tweaks to actually be practical, sensible, and usable, the games would need to be redesigned to account for the frame rate increases, and optimized heavily. So realistically, you are just better off sticking to the original frame rate, if you want a functional, practical, experience. If you don't want the original frame rate cap applied, these patches are not for you. Note(s): - These patches will work with majority of binary based ROM hacks (traditional style ROM hacks) that have the frame rate cap removal tweak applied. ROM hacks that are altered and or built using decompilation projects are not guaranteed to work with these patches. Results may vary depending on the changes made to the game code by the respective ROM hack developer(s). In the event this happens, you may request for a patch here, and I can create one whenever I am available to do so (the thread post will be updated as well with the inclusion of said patches). Hacking R4i-SDHC 3DS RTS on a 2DS

I saw that the R4i-SDHC 3DS RTS worked on the 2DS, but when I tried, it did not. Both my kernel and firmware are up to date and is said to support 3DS 6.3.0.0-12. The simple "Error has occurred" appears whenever I try to load the flash cart. My 2DS is version 6.3.0.0-12U.

Any help?

R4i-SDHC 3DS RTS seems can not support V6.3 very well. From their official site, they said: " R4i-SDHC RTS cards can support N3DS V6.3.0-12 perfectly(certain model only)， please update your kernel to v1.75b. If your RTS cards cannot support firmware update for the moment, please be patient, the new patch will be released soon. [2013-11-06] "

That " certain model only " is a not good sign. Supercard dstwo can work on my 2ds and the guy from gamezway told me that the r4i gold card can also support 2ds, but supercard dstwo is the best card.
