Hacking r4i problem

i got a problem with my r4i cart.
i cant open my usrcheat.dat with cheat code editor.
this way or another it changed from a dat file to a armybuilder data file or something.
(something i installed and removed)
it wont change.
it still works on my ds but i cant open it.
so if anyone could help me i would apreciate their help.

i checked on the usrcheat thingy that i downloaded and that one worked.
but if i try to open the usrcheat.dat in my r4imenu it wont open.
PLZ HELP ME

Why don't you not buy a fake card next time??
Go get a AceKard 2i or SuperCard DSTWO if you want to use a flash card on your DSi
AceKard 2i works on 3DS too

you sound liek your trying to run the cheats by opening the file like a game

you dont do it like that

you highlight the game you want cheats on and press the x or y button noramlly

It might be a real R4i
But the R4i is a cheap R4 clone
Buy an Acekard 2i if you want something that will work no hassle

i know how to use cheats (got a normal r4 to) but i just wanted to know how i could put more cheats on it.
if thats impossible without buying a new card nvm.
