Hacking R4i gold ver 2 advice please.

hi there folks id just like to say as im a newcomer to the site ,and its the best site of its kind ive come across and thank god its here ! ive just purchased an r4i gold ver2 for my dsi xl and ive run into problems running some games especially the lastest professor layton uf, ive tried the updates and the venom version to no avail could anyone give me any advice to which is the best firmware for it ,and can i run r4wood or ysmenu on it ? thanks

wood won't work
on the r4igold site there is a ysmenu firmware for download
but I haven't tried it or even bother looking at it

I think those are your only choice

just to be clear you got the v2.0 from r4ids.com, right?

i bought the card off ebay it wasnt from r4ids.com.

Well, there's your problem.....


You should have done a little bit of looking and asking questions first before spending wasting your money.
ANYTHING R4 should be avoided. The only good R4 was the original (and it's 1:1 clones) and that is only because they can run WoodR4. The originals can't use MicroSDHC (4GB+), don't work on a DSi and can't be upgraded.
