Hacking R4i.cn firmware update?

Hi, I have an R4i.cn flash cart, and it has served me well over the years with only a few small problems, but that's not the point.

I was trying to figure out if there were any firmware updates released allowing use on the 3DS, or if there are any custom firmwares that are compatible with it? The official site is dead and has been for a little while, around a year and a half, maybe more.

Looks like it ended with dsi 1.4 support from what I have seen on linfoxdomain...........
