Hacking R4i 3ds xl no starter mode

i keep reading that you have to go into settings--> other settings--> profile--> then ninntindo ds profile and wait then it goes into "starter" mode well mine wont do that. i just got it. its on v7.1.0-15U. any suggestions on what i could try? i used the most recent launcher.dat and the 2.0 to see if it was different

You have to be on version 4.1-4.5 to get the exploit to work. You can't get into starter mode on 7.1

nope you are out of luck, you have to find a 4.1-4.5 3ds xl for it to work

Not at this time, the NAND is encrypted specifically for your console. You would need a backup from 4.x from your own XL. Many have had luck with buying and replacing the motherboard.
