Hacking R4i 3DS Gold Deluxe and Professor Layton Unwound compatibility

Is there any known uncompatibility issues with Professor Layton and the Unwound Future and the DS card for the R4i 3DS Gold Deluxe? I have Wood 1.64 loaded, and attempted NukeThis and VEMON versions, and I have not been able to get past the input name screen (just goes and stays black).

I hope I am putting this in the right section as well.

There shouldn't be any issue with that card, I've never had any compatibility trouble. Are you sure it's a clean rom? Have you looked into whether or not the rom has a form of anti-piracy?

I checked and even used the DS-Scene Romtool to export it with the AP Fix, I dont even get to the logo in this new file.

I played it on mine with no probs. Must be a bad rom file
