Hacking R4DS (v1) freezing on Pkmn Black

Hey everyone!

So my friend has this problem with his R4DS, whenever he talks to the owner of the Pokemon Musical building
and offers you to customize your Pokemon, his game freezes.
Just wondering, is there anyone else that has this problem too?

His setup:

Wood v1.26
Pokemon Black original ROM (used NO XP patch on this one)
