so far its looking like the r4 is a much better slot1 solution when it comes to rom compatability than the scds one.  supercard team can always release updates but so far out of the box the r4 looks like a better product.

... what they dont update is there sister site r4ds.net i think its a backup

I have just checked their homepages.. you might be right, .net is only for english cutomers & backup!

Only homebrew I got is Moonshell 1.5 that came with R4.
I went on web and found Scumm... doesn't look easy to get it going, beside
I don't have any images for Scumm...

I guess "Moonshell works~"
doesn't mean other homebrews working as well huh?

What kind of Media does the R4 run from the Main Menu?
Because Isnt the middle bottom on the Menu for running media.

For Example: Mp3s, .gbm/.gbs, .Dpgs

Yes, middle bottom menu is media. Touching middle button
opens Moonshell 1.5 I tried Mp3s and DPG.

Last button is to start Slot 2, if anyone is curious.

aristo, I just saw a live review today by sinkhead, and dpg files that he ran made a clicking noise. Does this happen when you run dpg?

Also, try running DS Organize. I don't think it works.

(Sinkhead had a crappy microSD. This may be the problem)

Just ordered mine today. Can't wait. From everything i've read so far I feel pretty good with my purchase.

I too order mine yesterday.

From my research so far, it should be the best cart now up to date.

Most of the post from yyjoy forum praise this new cart.
- Easy firm upgrade. Just drag and drop to SD card, no need to flash to IC.
- So far, all game run at full speed
- Is not picky toward micro SD brands
- save archive can be port from m3/sc to R4

From the 2 pictures above, we can tell it is a single chip solution. I see no power supply circuit, therefore no step up/down of voltage. It is truly a simple hardware design. One processor, one crystal & a few passive component. 100% efficient in terms of power factor. So i believe the claim of low power consumtion is true.

It meet the 3 most inportant factor of a cart: cost, speed & compatiability.

This conclude my choice of R4 can't be wrong.

That is not my R4. I just order yesterday. Haven't got mine yet. The two pictures are references from other sources.
