Hacking R4DS III Confusion..

Yes, I posted this in an animal crossing save game file request thread which only after I'd already posted did I realise that it was a thread from 2007 and that I'd probably made a lot of people here very angry. I am very sorry, it's my first time here at GBAtemp and I found the site in google. I've searched for hours on how to get a save game file for Animal Crossing Wild World that will work on my R4DS without me needing to buy EZFlash or Action Replay or anything like that.

After all that search, it's probably gone to waste. I didn't know a feature of the R4DS III was that every ROM had cheats already there for it... The thing is, when I turn on the cheats for any game and then I go into the Cheats section of the game and turn on all the cheats I want, then I go back to play the game it comes up with "[rom failed loading] Open TTRESET.DAt error! Please reset system.

How do I get the cheats to work? I don't understand all the YSMenu stuff... Can someone please put it in really simple, R4DS cheating for dummies, terms for me, please?



Edit: I read the rules and it says R4DS III is not a legit card... Does this mean it won't work or does it just mean it is the same as the R4 Upgrade and just sounds like an even better version when in truth it is exactly the same?

I really just want a simple way for these cheats to work.

I read somewhere else that animal crossing cheats don't work but I've tried other games and I get the same message... Can anyone help? Please??

Have you got the standard R4-III firmware on the card or have you installed YSMenu on it?

There are 2 R4 III.

R4 III and R4 III SDHC.

Try both.

Damm i wrote a bat, which download your choosen Firmware and put it on your SD Card.

But i am still testing it. Anyway it is in german. So you cant use it.

Okay I'll try installing the YSMenu.... I really don't have a clue how to install it though.

I can't find the YS Menu link on Yasu's website.... I can't read the Japanese and I've scrolled up and down at least 6 times and I can't find it..
