I'm going to order one sometime next month, so I need to get prepared.

~How do I exactly "Flash" the GBA games onto the Flashcart?

~I know I need to patch the ROMs, so what exactly do I need to patch?

~Are the savefiles from the GBA games placed on the R4 or on the EZFlash?

i dont have a 3in1, but i think you need to patch them with sram saving using gbata for gba roms

the save files are /Probably/ stored on the r4, but i'm not completely sure

- Use GBATA to patch the rom
- Use Rudolph tools' (3in1) to load the rom into the EZ
- Saves are stored in R4 (there is no storage device in the EZ)

Thanks for the help everyone.

I just downloaded the programs I needed, I think I'm ready.

Just one more question:

~Will trimmed ROMs play the same as if it weren't trimmed?

~I seriously need to trim my GBA Roms since I need to make room for my other games.

Of course the EZ Flash has storage, it stores the game (if you want) in the NOR and the save in the SRAM so it can be a permanent GBA cart if you want to. You can also backup saves to the R4 whenever. Really amazing what Rudolph does.

I've had the R4 for a while but now I'm looking to add the 3-in-1.

Does the 3in1 just store one ROM at a time, and you have to swap them out?

you put the gbaroms on the r4 memory card then Use Rudolph tools' (3in1) to load the rom into the EZ which only stores one rom at a time

Sorry for continued noobness, but I just want to be sure: can this ROM transfer be done from the DS, or do you have to be connected to the PC to change the ROM?

I'm pretty sure it's all on the DS. You can't really directly connect the PC to the DS/3 in 1 using a microSD anyway.
