Just curious to how people use their R4 as I am getting mine soon...

1. How long have you had your R4 and how many do you own? Where did you buy it off of?

2. What kind of memory card do you use?

3. Have there been any problems with your unit?

4. How do you have your folders organized?

5. Do you use your R4 mainly for games or Media/Homebrew?

6. Do you have any accessories for your DSL?

7. How did you find out about flash carts?

8. Favorite games of the moment?

Thanks

1. I have an M3 Simply, which is just a rebranded R4, and an EZ-Flash 3-in-1 for GBA games. I've had the Simply for about a year now, the 3-in-1 I got in April '07. Before that I had a G6 Lite, which also served me well.

2. I started with an A-Data 512MB card, later I got a Kingston 1GB card (lucked out and got a Japanese one), and just recently I bought a 2GB Kingston (also turned out to be Japanese). All three have perfomed quite well.

3. None, aside from occasionally having to wait for an update to fix a problem with some new game.

4. DS games go in the root of the card, GBA, NES, Atari and Genesis games go in their respective directories.

5. Games, a few homebrew games, and emulators for playing more games.

6. Nope.

7. I've known of their existance for a long time (since the SNES was current), but I never really looked into getting one until I got a DS in late '06. I did many a web search while trying to figure out which cart to buy, and that's how I found GBAtemp.

8. Geometry Wars is probably the most recent game that I've spent much time with. Lately I've been more into playing the classics on emulators. The new version of jEnesisDS with sound support has made me very happy.

1. A while now, not 100% sure as I had a Supercard Lite before hand.

2. Japan Kingston 1Gb and a 2Gb (1Gb has GBA stuff on it now)

3. Sometimes the DSL doesn't recongise it. Had it once stop working, unfortanetly it was when it was saving so it killed the save. Fortanetly it was close to a main save and I could get a replacement save

4. Not really, had a mov folder but all the games are in root.

5. games, and wireless sniffing. Also use it with Opera and the net in an emergency.

6. Got a case, and screen protectors.

7. Internet, actually LikSang if anyone remembers them. This was in the GBC days.

8. Phoneix Wright, Game and Watch Gallery (the GBA)

1. I purchased it 6 months ago, I bought one off modchipstore.com, though I wouldn't recommend it, it's been receiving some terrible customer ratings.

2. Kingston 1 GB Taiwan

3. Nope, no so far.

4. I place homebrew under a homebrew folder, and games under a folder entitled "Games".

5. I use it solely for running games.

6. Yes, I have a case as well two screen protectors.

7. I can't quite remember, but I think it was through a Youtube video.

8. Tough question. I'd say New Super Mario. Even though it was easy, it was very very fun, both multi and single-player.

I own two R-4s (using Sandisk 2GB memory) that I bought a couple of months ago from Sky2K and have no problems with them. We use them with the original Nintendo DS and have been used with only games thus far. I found out about flash carts from this site and I've been playing "Sims Urbz" .

1. How long have you had your R4 and how many do you own? Where did you buy it off of?
I've owned 2 of them, one with a spring since August 07, one without a spring since December 07. I bought both of them from RHS. I actually gave both of my R4s away for Xmas presents to my nieces, which both of them love.
2. What kind of memory card do you use?
Kingston 2GB
3. Have there been any problems with your unit?
No problems what so ever.
4. How do you have your folders organized?
I don't, I just throw the games in the root of the memory stick.
5. Do you use your R4 mainly for games or Media/Homebrew?
Games
6. Do you have any accessories for your DSL?
Nerf Armor Case, BestSkinsEver Full Body Kit, Retractable Metallic Touch Pen Set
7. How did you find out about flash carts?
I always knew they existed, so I finally bought a CycloDS Evolution(1st flashcart ever) last June for my daughter because she wanted to buy that new super mario game with her own money, so I thought it was time to buy a flashcart for her.
8. Favorite games of the moment?
None at the moment.
Thanks
