It doesn't seem like anything special except that it uses the old method of hooking up directly to a computer to update the cart. In this case, it's just for the bootloader from what I can tell.

Yep.

It is a just a regular R4i that updates like a Supercard DS One i.

However, if you don't have a DSL, and you need to update, and you are a tight-ass who only wants to spend $12, this is an option.




Or, if you lost your Supercard DS One i updater, the updater may work with your Supercard DS One i? However, I don't know if it would work.
