R4 is given another chance, embrace don't hate.

R4 was good with YSMenu, why is a scene made when Wood gets ported onto the R4?

I bought 3 R4's for $AU56 each 2 years ago, and they all have Wood, do I not deserve to use Wood because the R4s have decreased $50 and are now $6?

When it becomes Open Source, who knows what will become of it?

I think it should be compatible with original R4s only, though, because quite frankly, we deserve it because we didn't turn cheap to buy a clone.

R4 has been dumped by the original team.
And wood made the biggest change to R4 thank the man who made woods more than the original team.
and YSmenu maybe good but many games I liked could not be played.

When you buy a clone card, the person who makes the original card gets NO money from that sale.
For example... AceKard team makes their card + firmware... then R4Ultra comes along and clones it.
AceKard develops firmware, while R4Ultra just rips it off.
Every sale of R4Ultra is one less sale for AceKard.
Less sales for AceKard means less incentive to develop firmware.
Less drive to update firmware means updates will come less.
Less updates means that AceKard2 -AND- R4Ultra users will have to wait longer for games.

Real AceKard2 users are directly 'hurt' by people who buy R4Ultras and R4 Ultra users are just hurting themselves.

Oh right I get it now. I do support real flashcart teams. My AK2i is 100% authentic, I got it from 1 of the recommended sites from the acekard site.

what if the original of your clone is dead but the clone is still receiving updates?

And NO ONE should buy anything like an R4 Ultra. Complete junk.

I never really liked R4 that much anyway, on my DSL it would always crash, it would switch itself off if I left it in sleep mode for more than 5 minutes. I sort of feel sorry for R4 users, it's a difficult cart to get to function properly and having to buy a completely new 1 for the 1.4 firmware update sucks.

That means Acekard would have to get off their butts and come out with something new. Acekard probably don't come out with anything new because they don't really need to, we have AKAIO.

What causes card makers to be innovative when someone just rips them off?
Unless you mean that they need to be "innovative" and spend more time making their encryption better, spending less time on things like features and compatibility... Logic fail.
