Hacking R4 sdhc white screen

Hello everyone, here's my problem:

I have an old DSL (2010) that I stopped playing, however I would like to play again after all this time. But I'm having a problem with my r4, which I bought at the same time and I believe being outdated, it features a white screen shortly after selecting "Star Wars Lethal Alliance Ubisoft". I've tried many different kernels but no success.
My r4 has a gold sticker and it says exactly:

1.4v
R4i sdhc
Revolution for DS
(NDS / NDSL / NDS)

I lost the box of my r4 but I remember being golden, the same color as the sticker, and I'm using a 1GB micro SD of sandisk. I want good news, not need to buy another r4.
PS: I'm completely new to this and I do not quite understand Firmware, Wood, etc.
