Hardware R4 SDHC RTS lite

I've got a question about the flashcard r4 SDHC RTS lite,

At the moment i own 1 with kernel version 2.03 but some games the AR codes freeze or does not show up, i have no idea how this can be


also my 3DS xl is version 4.4.0-10e, should i upgrade it, Or not?
