ROM Hack R4 Revolution

I bought one just because it's cheap, $2
To expand some more games without having to wipe out any on an older R4 and constantly pop out the microSD.

My question is, does it support SDHC?

I believe I've ever only used 2GB MicroSD on it, but I want to buy at least a 4GB MicroSDHC

No the old R4 does not support SDHC.
There is an extremely rare 4GB non-SDHC microSD card floating around that is rumored to work, but they are extremely hard to find and expensive.
