Hacking R4 Renovation V2.10T ignoring SD card?

Hi Everyone,
I've been searching around trying to get this R4 clone I bought working. I think I'm missing something, but I haven't been able to figure out yet what it is.

First, information about my card:

• It's the R4 Renovation SDHC
• The Box website is r4sdhc.com
• Box says V2.10T

Information about my DS:

• It's a DS Lite
• The DS Lite Firmware test I've been seeing says Firmware V (magenta screen)
• I bought it used

Here's the Symptoms:

• Inserting the game w/o a SD card shows the standard DS menu with Star Wars Lethal Alliance
• Same is true with a formatted SD Card (1GB, not SDHC)
• Same is true with the 2.10T firmware off of r4sdhc.com
• Same is true with the 1.34 firmware off of r4sdhc.com
• Running Star Wars Lethal Alliance turns the bottom screen off and the top screen Blue. Nothing seems to happen.

On these forms, Here, someone said that the Star Wars is for getting around the 1.4 DSi firmware. This doesn't seem applicable since I don't have a SDi.

I haven't yet tried wood r4 since I didn't see my cart on the list of working devices.

Can anyone give me some insight on how to get this working?

1st I would like to say thank you for telling us everything you tried, you saved us alot of time

I have had problems like this...
Try to blow into the micro sd slot, and on the SD card itself (might sound stupid but works some times)
But if that didn't work...
Your SD is a faulty, try a different one.

I recently understood that the panasonic formatter is useless.
It doesn't really help.
OP already formatted, not with that formatter.
I use the windows formatter and it always works.

The latest kernel for this card is V2.10T14 which was updated 3 months ago and is the official one you should use. However cards from www.r4sdhc.com and www.r4isdhc.com are notorious for being updated for the first 6 months of their lives and then being dropped and never being updated again. If you want to play the latest games then you should get another card, preferably an AceKard 2i as they are much better.

the windows one treats the sd as a normal hard drive, but the panasonic one treats it as an actual sd, so it formats according to a SD's needs

I've only tried my operating system formatting, none of the others. I'm actually running linux, so I can try some other formatting utilities.

As for the card, it seemed to be working fine in my phone before moving to the DS. I'll try the 2.10T14 firmware and report back.

I´m trying to help a friend who has this card..
Everything works perfectly BUT it will NOT save any gamesaves at all..

I´ve been reading up a bit on this card and from what I could see the Waio 1.15 is working 100% with this card..

I tried the 2.10T14 firmware linked above, and the behavior was the same. I haven't tried another formatting utility, but as I mentioned it works in my phone as is.

WAIO 1.15 as reported above also exhibited the same behavior. It seems to be not reading the SD card at all.

I tried a brand new SD card (PNY 4GB). with all 3 kernels (waio 1.5, 2.10T14 and 1.34) and still no change. Is it possible I have a faulty flash cart?
