What people refer to as V2 is the non-spring-loaded version. That's also the version I'm talking about and it's identical to the new "compact pack" one. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. And no, I'm not being aggressive, I'm being straight-forward.

You demand proof and reject it all. I have never asked for proof that you know what you are talking about, nor do you volunteer any, and yet you expect me and others to accept your POV or provide more evidence?

Who are you to say that I don't know what I'm talking about? Even if I am an amateur, how have you proven that you know what you're talking about? How is it useful to progress a discussion this way? You really show that you have no sincere interest in being honest and helpful to others here, you are not contributing your legitimate concern in a positive way. When I say legitimate concern I mean, that I do feel if someone wants an R4 to use with WoodR4 it is a good answer to tell them where to get what they want. Which did actually happen in this thread, though that was not the end of the information that was given.
There was nothing wrong with this thread or the help tk_saturn provided but you made a post that made it clear you had a problem with his advice (which really was pretty neutral, helpful, honest, and appreciated by the OP).
While you may think you are being straight forward, you are actually evasive and not level headed. You also made a remark that my writing makes me look like an idiot. I'm not saying I have a right to be respected anymore than anyone else, but the truth is, insulting someone rather than addressing their statement or idea throws out the balance of what could be an otherwise legitimate debate. You can't excuse or explain that away, and if you have some sort of concept that I "started it" by calling you delusional, you don't understand the benefit of striving for objectivity in an argument. I'm going outside now. This distortion of reality in which any of this matters is really draining.

He didn't mix up anything. You took a photo of your $3.30 R4 and it's definately identical to the original R4 in the comparative photo.

For TD, don't accuse me of things I haven't done. I haven't claimed anything. I never claimed to have opened up the cart to check the internals. I actually told the opposite.

For exangel, TL;DR. I doubt you had anything meaningful to say since you already proved how clueless you are regarding this subject.

tk_saturn just pretty much proved that his $3.30 is genuine.

Actually he didn't. If you look at the pictures you'll see the one on the right has a blob in the middle where it looks like the casing has been "snapped off" the mold. The originals didn't have that. Ahtin mixed up his left and his right. Have a search of the official R4 site and you'll find that out yourself.

Wood r4 is not a reason to go out of your way and get an R4.
IT WAS MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE IT.
You know why? Because YWG can drop his project anytime. He made wood r4 with freewill, so we won't know if we'll still be able to have 1.08.(But I hope there will be.)

It's always better to get an acekard 2i, supercard, and other regularly updated firmware flashcarts
I have an R4. So I'm not hating on it myself.

And if you're gonna say, "R4 is cheap blah blah blah."
Why can't they spend even just like 15 bucks? They'll be able to keep it for a while.
And they were able to buy a DS/DSi for almost 7x the price. So it's no reason that R4 is cheaper

Yeah, the $6 one on there has been tested with WoodR4 and is known to work perfectly.

I'm not claiming it's not a clone, hence I was never trying to prove it's not a clone. I was simply stating that it looks identical to the original R4 I have.

I missed the part where YWG told people his firmware is only for people who already has an R4.
And all you said about WoodR4 goes for AKAIO aswell.

The thing you people keep ignoring is that I never claimed that they're not clones.
My point was that you shouldn't state it as a fact that they're clones when you don't have proof. I never stated anything as a fact regarding this matter.
