Hardware R4 Gold Card Problem!

Hi there im new to the forum, i've read a couple of faqs and stickys and didnt find my post, but if it is repeated please feel free to redirectme.

I have a N3DS and i've bought a R4 Gold card, (the one that lets you play ds games and such) but in an incredibly stupid/sleep lapsus, i updated my 3DS and now it wont let me use that card, what can i do to use my card again?

Because there are a ton of clones out there make sure it says on your card something like www.r4ids.cn Check out pics here: http://www.r4ids.cn/r4ids-e.html

Since you upgraded your 3DS you'll need to find another DS so you can upgrade you r4i Gold card so it'll work on the latest firmware. You can upgrade your r4i Gold using the newest patch found on that site.

HOWEVER this patch only works with Rev. C carts. You can check which revision you have by looking on the back of the card in a little corner on the bottom. Again check the site for pictures(the top 3).

You're SOL buddy. Unless you can get a hold of a NDS/L or compatible DSi/3DS, you can't update the firmware.

According to the site printed on the card, R4iSSDHC.COM, the latest update supports the following: R4iSSDHC firmware upgrade 3DS 4.301 NDSi 1.44. The kernel download v4.30 dates from 2012-09-20. It is safe to say that this card is no good and will not receive anymore updates. You are SOL buddy, you bought a clone card that wont receive updates from the "team" behind it (What team? They only make the clones to cash in quick then leave silently).

Yes i've read that, also now that i see the other page (The original) this one looks fake as ass.
Still theres hope, my 3DS its not up to date, since i've upgraded it a long time ago (we're talking a lil before mid year). That upgrade may be sufficient, but i dont understand the steps to make it work, or the steps on the page sucks, any help in upgrading this clone?
(Btw i had to search what "SOL" meant, lol)

Go to your 3DS settings and tell me what version it says. If its newer than v4.3.0-1 then you're out of luck.

There's your answer, it's 4.5.0. Now for an explanation of my Sherlock Holmes method. I visited the R4iSSDHC.COM site and browsed around after cleverly finding the English button. I found the downloads section hidden away not so subtly. Then I snooped around and was truly stumped. I phoned my friend Watson for some assistance and together we found a crucial hint! R4iSSDHC firmware upgrade 3DS 4.301 NDSi 1.44 which I deduced to mean that the latest firmware upgrade supported up to 4.3.0 on the 3DS and no more. Now, a little more searching for clues led me to the post by Aoshido which was was posted on Monday, December 24, 2012. I knew something dastardly was going on so I thought and thought and thought some more until it hit me that Nintendo HAD RELEASED 4.5.0-10 ON DECEMBER 4, 2012!! Now, it was a matter of putting the pieces together and solving this mystery once and for all.
I knew that the R4iSSDH flashcart was good only up to 4.3.0-10. I also now knew that Nintendo released 4.5.0-10 on 12/4/12. The final piece was crucial, Aoshido updated his 3DS on 12/24/12 (still unconfirmed if done that day or a few days before) and was almost guaranteed to have the latest update offered by Nintendo, which was 4.5.0-10.
I do not wish to take all the credit for solving this mystery, but some of the credit should go out to my buddy Watson too.

not if you get a preflashed one, i checked out ndsicard.com or net dont remember but they are preflashed

He already mentioned he updated his 3DS and it didn't work. Obviously he didn't buy a preflashed r4i gold. I only mentioned the patch though because I didn't know what clone he had and I assumed he got the r4ids.cn version. Of course none of this matters now because he bought a r4isshdc.com card.

Oh, in that case, do the firmware update on the R4iSSDHC.COM site and perhaps it'll work since the update is for compatibility with 4.3.0-10 and your 3DS is at a firmware below that.

Just download the firmware to the SD card and run it on your DS and update the cart.

We couldnt do that, when we went to the update part the Ds reseted itself

You run the update file as if it was a game.

It's really the same process, since it comes as an .NDS file.

Where do i get that update file, i ran like 99999 updates an none worked
